Happy Planet (the wholesale/retail/distribution company) and Z Mills (the milling/production company) are considering using the Australian Small Scale Offerings Board Limited (ASSOB http://www.assob.com.au) to recapitalise and expand on the various products they can mill and distribute.
Z Mills is commercially operating the world-first oxygen/heat free milling system, economically processing product that other milling systems can’t and thereby enabling farmers to value-add to their primary produce.
In 2008 Z Mills completed milling trials of organic red grape, dried after pressing. Previously this by-product of the wine and grapejuice industries was considered waste and discarded. Z Mills can process this by-product (like many others) into a highly nutritious antioxidant in the form of a very fine powder/flour. Grape flour is sold in many countries for use in food bars, bread, pastas, sauces, cheeses, yoghurts, capsules etc.
There are other primary by-products (from fruits, vegetables, berries, grains, seeds etc.), currently discarded that the Z Mill can process and at the same time retain their nutritional value. Traditional milling systems reach high temperatures and can deplete up to 80% of many vitamins and minerals from the product for which it is then necessary to fortify with particular nutrients. Another advantage of the Z Mill is the longer shelf-life of the product and the reduction of rancidity.
Happy Planet and Z Mills wish to develop this and other new products and export markets through the sale of up to $2 million worth of securities. The existing shareholders (family and friends) of Happy Planet and Z Mills would prefer to give you, our customers and our greatest supporters, the opportunity to be part of the fruits of this expansion.
